I am not a career coach who read books about careers.
I am someone who spent 25 years serving this country — from 1991 to October 2016 — across multiple roles and postings in the Indian Armed Forces. I know what it means to be disciplined, to work in high-pressure environments, and to be responsible for outcomes that actually matter.
I also know what it means to start over.
When I left the military in 2016, I did not have a corporate job waiting. I had skills, I had discipline, and I had one thing I had been quietly building on the side for years — a knowledge of how the internet works, how content educates people, and how to help someone find the right path forward.
Since November 2016, blogging and digital publishing has been my full-time work. Not a side project. Not passive income. My livelihood and my purpose.
Like many independent publishers, I have faced the reality of Google algorithm updates wiping out years of work overnight. I lost websites I built with real effort. I understand what it feels like to start from zero — not once, but more than once.
That experience is exactly why I built Skill Upgrade Hub differently.
Every article on this site is written by real engineers — professionals with B.E. degrees, currently working in the industries they write about. Not AI. Not ghostwriters pretending to have experience they don’t have. Real people, real credentials, real insights from the ground.
My job is to ensure that what gets published here is accurate, useful, and honest — the kind of career guidance I wish had existed when I was figuring out my own transition.
